Climate Change risks in the finance sector – what to expect in 2020

  • RACV City Club 501 Bourke Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

Join us for an exclusive lunch in the Private Dining Room at the RACV City Club in Melbourne. You will have the opportunity to meet other like-minded senior executives and receive an update from Europe.

The discussion will be free flowing and will cover:

  • How to think about the risks to the financial sector.

  • How those risks might materialise and how risk management might address them.

  • Future risks and opportunities, especially the impact of regulatory action.

Dr Paul Fisher, former Deputy Head of the PRA at the Bank of England and a former member of the UK’s Monetary Policy Committee, will lead a discussion on climate risks, based on his work with the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and other thought leadership committees and groups in the EU.

By February 19, Paul will have spoken to a selection of Group Risk Officers in London and subject to confidentiality rules, will be able to share general insights from that discussion. He will also provide his views of a new Cambridge Institute report titled 'Bank 2030'.
