Mark Carney, Governor of the Bank of England, provided a short pre-recorded video to introduce the issues addressed at the conference. He spoke about how the finance market is addressing the risks presented by climate change and how the same approach can be used in other industries.

Sean Hanley, Toyota’s VP, outlined Toyota’s commitment to the creation of a more inclusive and more sustainable society through mobility.

Tony Battaglene is the CEO of Australian Grape and Wine Inc. and he spoke about the impact of climate change on wine production in Australia.

Susie Wood is Principal Climate Change at BHP and she addressed the changes the resources sector is likely to face over the coming years. She also spoke about the issues raised in CEO Andrew Mackenzie’s landmark speech on climate change made in London in August 2019.

Professor Fran Sheldon, Griffith University. Professor Sheldon spoke about the importance of water supplies to Australian primary industries and how food production should be managed in light of the outlook for future water supplies.
